For the filling:

  • Sweet Potatoes - 1
  • Split Chickpea - 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 2 tsp
  • Almond powder - 6 tsp
  • Desiccated Coconut Powder - 2 tsp
  • Molasses - 1/4 tsp


  • For the bread :
  • Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
  • Fine Semolina - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Coconut oil - 1/2 cup


How to Make:    


Dough for bread:

  • Mix whole wheat flour, semolina 1/4 water and 1/4 cup coconut oil. 
  • Add extra water few drops at a time, if dough is too thick.
  • Knead well and keep aside.


Filling for the bread:


  • Dry roast split chickpea (kadalebeLe) 2 mins for the nice aroma.
  • Wash, peel and pressure cook sweet potatoes and roasted split chickpea until soft.
  • Remove excess water and keep aside. You could use it with soup later.
  • Mash the cooked sweet potatoes and split chickpea.
  • Add molasses, cardamom powder, almond powder, desiccated coconut powder.
  • Stir continuously and cook for 15 mins. 
  • The consistency should be thick, so that it can be used as filling.
  • Use this as a filling for the bread.

  • Take a golf ball sized dough, roll it to 4 inch and fill with 2 tsp of the prepared filling.
  • Cover the filling with the dough. Roll it lightly into thin wraps.
  • Cook on a heated pan by turning sides and smearing coconut oil on both sides, until golden brown.
  • Serve warm with tea.


Note: To make the non-vegan version, one could use clarified butter in place of coconut oil.

  • In a pan, take one cup water, 1.5 cups sugar.
  • Boil to make sugar syrup of 1 thread consistency.
  • Add 1/4 tsp cardamom powder. Mix well and keep aside.


  • Take the white flour mix and make small sized balls using light pressure of the palm.


  • Heat the oil for frying.
  • Deep fry or shallow fry the above flour balls in medium hot oil, by turning sides, until golden brown.


  • Transfer all fried balls into the sugar syrup and allow it to soak in it for about 20 mins.
  • Take out each of the soaked jamoon and roll in desiccated coconut.
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar and serve it warm.


  • Note : Traditionally this dessert is made with dry milk and soaked in lot of sugar syrup.

Ingredients: 



  • Banana Pudding Mix - 4 tsp
  • Bananas - 1
  • Pineapple pieces - 1 cup
  • Sugar 2 tsp
  • Almond milk - 1 cup
  • Water 1 cup + 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder - 1 tsp




How to Make:  



  • Chop banana into fine pieces and keep aside.

  • Take a pot. Add sugar and 2 tsp water to pineapple pieces.
  • Cook on low 10 mins and keep aside.

  • In a pot, add banana pudding mix and add tap cold water.
  • Stir to form a smooth paste.
  • Mix it well and cook on a low flame for 5 mins.
  • Cool to room temperature.
  • Add chopped banana pieces.
  • Keeping in the refrigerator is optional.
  • Garnish with glazed pineapple pieces.
  • Drizzle cinnamon powder.
  • Serve it at room temperate or cold if desired.

Banana Pudding with Glazed Pineapple

Layered Graham Cake is super easy to make and is nutritious and tasty too.

Ingredients: 



  • Graham Crakers - 1 big box
  • Vegan Vanilla Pudding Mix - 4 tsp
  • Sour Cream - 2 cups
  • Sugar 4 tsp
  • Almond milk - 1 cup
  • Water 2 cups
  • Spices Powder - 1 tsp
  • Instant Coffee Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Whipped Cream - 1 jar




How to Make:  



  • Using 2 cups water and 1 cup almond milk, and sugar, make the vegan pudding as per the instructions and keep aside.


  • In a pot, add sour cream, honey, coffee powder and  mix it thoroughly.
  • Stir to dissolve the honey crystals and coffee granules to form a smooth paste.


  • Layer the Graham crackers in a baking pan.
  • Layer pudding on top the graham crackers.
  • Layer another layer of graham crackers,
  • Layer the sour cream mixture on top of graham crackers.
  • Repeat until all the mixes are complete.
  • Top it with whipped cream.


  • Keep in the refrigerator for about 4 hours or overnight.
  • Drizzle cocoa powder on the top.


  • Scoop out to get all layers and serve it cold.
